An information providing apparatus and method using identification numbers are provided to use an identification number closely related to the telephone number of a service provider as a service usage number of a service user such that the service user easily uses a service and reduce communication expenses for providing the service by using a telephone line. An information providing apparatus includes a service provider(100) which extracts an identification number of a service user terminal when a service request is inputted and transmits the identification number of the service user terminal and advertisement information to an Internet server(200) to request the Internet server to deliver the advertisement information or directly provide the advertisement information to the service user terminal. |
