An electric connector for a flat conductor is provided to support a to be supported surface formed in a contact portion of a shaft unit through a support surface formed on a terminal when a pressing member is in an open location state, thereby preventing deformation of the pressing member. A pressing member(40) comprises a shaft unit. The shaft unit comprises a to be guided unit and a contact portion(43B). The to be guided unit is guided by a terminal by rotation when moving the pressing member. The contact portion is formed on a to be supported surface. When pressure is applied from an absorption member at an open location, a reaction force is applied to the to be supported surface from the terminal. At least first class terminal comprises a guide unit(26A) and a support unit(26B). The guide unit guides the shaft unit and the to be guided unit. When the pressing member is in the open location, the support unit supports the to be supported surface of the contact portion.
