METHOD FOR TREATING PATIENTS WITH GASTROINTESTINAL CANCER WITH METASTASES INTO LIVER

A method for treating the patients with gastrointestinal cancer with metastases into the liver comprises intra-arterial chemotherapy (into the proper hepatic artery). Prior to the endovascular treatment and after the first course of chemotherapy, the transcutaneous puncture of the metastatic lesion is performed. When the proliferative potential of cancer cells decreases, the same regimen follows. When the proliferative potential is unchanged or increased, the therapeutic regimen should be changed.
