The inventions concern metal working and can be used for manufacturing of steel fiber from the wire. A method of manufacturing the fiber from the wire includes shaped bending, deformation and incision of wire by shaping pair of rollers, which synchronously rotate in opposite directions and have on the working surface the profile cells, in which inserts are located. In accordance with the invention, supply of wire into working area for bending, deformation and incision is performed by pairs of rollers, which are adjusted and rotate in opposite directions. In the case the inserts are used which are made in the form of “cutter-anvil”. In the case assigned profile is simultaneously formed, it is incised for 30-70 % of the section of wire and moved to “support-trap”, which is located at angle to the line of forming, which ensures deflection and breaking off of incised fibers into measured lengths. In the case the profile regions on the rollers are made in the shape of triangle or rectangle or triangle with cut apex or in the shape of wave or evolvent. A device for manufacturing the fiber from the wire contains a unit for supply of wire into the working area for bending, deformation and incision, means for bending, deformation and incision, which consists of a pair of rollers, which have on the working surface the profile regions with inserts. In accordance with the invention, the device is equipped with “support-trap” for guaranteeing of deflection and breaking off of finished fibers. Furthermore, the surface of rollers, which forms a profile cell, is electrochemically processed. The inventions provide for simultaneous bending, deformation and incision of wire for obtaining the fiber with high accuracy and output, and also high wear resistance of shaping rollers. |
