An apparatus and a method for separating a protection sheet are provided to prevent malfunction in protection sheet removal by using tape for separation, a grounding unit and a driving unit. A loading plate(L2) is located in a worktable(2) and has a loading plane. The polaroid film is loaded in the loading plane with standing. Tape(4) for separation has a bonding surface. The tape for separation is connected between reels. The bonding surface faces the loading plane from the front of the loading plate. A grounding unit(8) supports one side of the tape for separation with being grounded. The grounding unit presses one side of the protection sheet of the polaroid film. A driving unit(10) diversifies the location of the grounding unit. According to the control of the driving unit, the tape for separation is adhered in one side of the protection sheet. In the adhered state, the tape for separation is controlled for the other side movement and backward movement.
