A variable apparatus of a mast is provided to widen the application scope of a yacht through a cylinder consisting of a pneumatic or hydraulic electric motor. A variable apparatus of a mast comprises a hinge(11) manufactured to sustain the weight of a mast(4) and forces exerted on all kinds of wires or the mast; a cylinder(9) manufactured in order to vary the mast with an easy operation; an upper plate(6) and a lower plate(10) joined through the hinge; and a safety plate(7) allowing an upper plate and a lower plate not to be in contact with each other.
