A method and a system for generating a map template, and a method and a system for managing devices by using the map template are provided to obtain a map image for managing devices without uploading or editing a map image file. A method for managing devices by using a map template includes the steps of searching at least one or more devices to manage(500), selecting a map template which represents an interior structure of a building where the searched devices are mounted(530), and disposing the devices at predetermined positions on the selected map template(540).
