A health food having an anti-inflammatory activity is provided to prevent and treat the neurogenic inflammation disease without toxicity and side effect by inhibiting the generation of NO and TNF-alpha. A health food for preventing and treating the neurogenic inflammation disease contains a hot water extract of Chrysanthemum indicum as an active ingredient. Preferably the hot water extract of Chrysanthemum indicum is prepared by using an extraction solvent selected from water, a C1-C4 low molecular weight alcohol or their mixture.
