A dust collecting apparatus is provided to increase dust collecting efficiency substantially and increase life and replacement cycle of the bag filters by primarily collecting dust flowing into the apparatus using gravity and inertial force and uniformly dispersing the primarily filtered dust, thereby secondly collecting the primarily filtered dust by bag filters. A dust collecting apparatus comprises: a housing(30); on which a dust inflow port(32) and an air exhaust port(33) are formed, and in which a plurality of bag filters(40) filtering dust are embedded; a hopper(31) which is integrally formed on a bottom part of the housing, and in which dust is accumulated; a dedusting unit spraying air into the bag filters to remove dust adsorbed onto the surface of the bag filters; side plates(52) positioned at both sides of the dust inflow port and vertically extended within the housing; a blocking plate(53) positioned on a top part of the dust inflow port between the side plates; and a settling chamber(50) formed in an inner space formed by the side plates and blocking plate to guide dust flown in through the dust inflow port to the hopper.
