SEAM FOR A CORRUGATOR BELT

A corrugator belt (30) for a corrugator machine (10) has a base joined into endless from by means of a clipper seam. The base (32) has a first end and a second end, and a first side and a second side. A strip (92) of compressible material wraps around each of the first and second ends from the first side to the second side, and the clipper hooks for the clipper seam are installed ov er the strips at each end. The compressible material of the strips protrudes between adjacent clipper hooks to prevent corrugated paper board being manufactured using the corrugator belt from firmly contacting the clipper hooks and being marked and otherwise damaged by them.
