摘要 #CMT# #/CMT# The device (1) has a heated supporting element (2) e.g. heated rotary roller (9), at which a continuous paper or cardboard web (3) is guided over a peripheral section. A counter-pressure element (4) exerts pressure over a circumference of the element and does not exert the pressure at a web-part (3a) adjacent to the supporting element, where the circumference of the supporting element is 100 millimeter. The counter-pressure is generated by pressurized fluid in a pressure fluid container (5), where the fluid acts directly on the web. The element (2) is formed with a smooth roller surface (9a). #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Web handling device i.e. calendar, for smoothing a paper or cardboard web (all claimed). #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The counter-pressure is generated by the pressurized fluid, which acts directly on the paper or cardboard web, without body contact, thus reducing the danger of markings on the web, so that interference during a printing process is avoided.
