A foot-actuated accelerator pedal for motor vehicle is hinge-mounted on the vehicle structure via a bracket (18) on the wall (10) of the foot-well. Between the foot-pad (28) and a stop or abutment of the wall (10) a flexible element absorbs the loading force during normal actuation of the pedal, the flexible element being integrated into the pedal foot-pad (28).
