The device has a counter pallet (6) for maintaining an upper part of beak of an animal against a funnel (1) in combination with an autonomous force transmission system (5) so as to immobilize the beak during the transfer of food from the funnel to crops. The counter pallet cooperates with a pallet (2) fixed on the funnel, where the pallet is conformed to bony palate of the beak so as to immobilize the upper part of the beak between the pallet and the counter pallet. The transmission system for closing and opening the counter pallet is controlled by a control button (3).
