[Also in Division B3] In a hinge connection between two or three members wherein the member 1 is journalled about a sleeve 3 which extends between and is attached at its ends to two spaced portions 5 of the other member or members, the length of the sleeve is greater than the width of the member 1 and headed rivets 8 are driven into the ends of the sleeve to hold the portions 5 against the sleeve. The shanks of the rivets are formed with long pitch screw threads which make tight engagement with the internal surface of the sleeve, and bowl-shaped depressions 6 are provided around the apertures in the portions 5 to keep the latter clear of the member 1.</p> |
