Method for scatter correction of x-ray tomography data

The method involves reconstructing a primary three-dimensional image of an object from a set of x-ray tomography measured projection data. A set of simulated projection data is calculated as a result of the primary three-dimensional image or a model. The simulated projection data is the sum of a transmission contribution and a scattering contribution. A theorem of corrected projection data is computed by subtraction of the simulated projection data of the measured projection data. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a data processing system for scatter correction of x-ray tomography data (2) a computer program for scatter correction of x-ray tomography data (3) a data medium with a computer program.
