<p>A memory sharing device includes a memory section (20) configured to have storage devices (201, 202) in an attachable/detachable manner, wherein storage regions on the storage devices (201, 202) attached to the memory section (20) are divided to be assigned to a plurality of information processing units (40), thereby allowing the storage devices (201, 202) to be shared among a plurality of information processing units (40). Further, a sharing management section (16) is provided to make the storage devices (201, 202) function as internal storage devices of the information processing units (40) in such a manner that memory access to the storage regions is performed in accordance with a memory access request signal from the information processing units (40) to generate a response signal from the memory section (20). Sharing of the memory external to the information processing units among the information processing units ensures to easily change a size of memory used among the information processing units, while facilitating efficient utilization of the memory.</p> |
