Described herein are several embodiments relating to modular irrigation c ontrollers. In many implementations, methods of implementing irrigation cont rol are provided that detect a presence of a first module (65e, 65g, 65h) co upled with a control unit (30) of an irrigation controller (10), the control unit operating in accordance with a bootloader set of code (33c) and a firs t set of code (7622) to implement irrigation control, identify that the firs t module stores a second set of code (7624), and activate the bootloader set of code (33c) to replace the first set of code (7622) with the second set o f code (7624). Also described are various different types of modular control lers, expansion modules that may be coupled to the modular controller, havin g as variety of functions and features, as well as related methods of use an d configuration of the controller and these modules in the controller. |
