A moving picture file processing method and an apparatus thereof are provided to reproduce a moving picture at a unit of a user instead of a file unit, thereby satisfying user's desires. A location of the last stream is selected at an end location address to generate configuration information of a target to be reproduced. A stream from a location at which a start location address indicates to the end of the stream is reproduced. An interval from a location at which a start location address of the second stream indicates to the end of the stream is reproduced. When the start and end location addresses exist in the first stream and the last stream among a plurality of streams, an interval from a stream at which the start location address indicates to the end of the stream is reproduced, an interval from the beginning to the end with regard to streams located in the middle is reproduced, and an interval from a start point of the last to a point at which the end location address indicates is reproduced.
