<p>A traction transformer, or a method of forming said transformer, which comprises first and second primary windings 11, 12 which are connected in parallel and first and second filter windings 31, 32 which are connected in series. The filter windings 31, 32 are connected between a low voltage input 0 V and an intermediate voltage point 35. The primary windings 11, 12 are connected between the intermediate voltage point 35 and a high voltage input HV. The filter windings are located between primary windings 11, 12 and traction windings 21, 22. The windings may be arranged on two core legs 1, 2. The intermediate voltage point 35 may be used for connection of a high performance filter 40.</p> |
