MECHANISM FOR PREVENTING LOOSENING OF BOLT

A bolt (10) has integrally formed on it a screw rod section (11), a screw head section (12), and blade-like projections (13) projecting outward from portions of the outer periphery of the screw head section (12). The blade-like projections (13) project from the screw head section (12) while gradually changing their direction from their base ends to their head ends toward the direction of loosening rotation of the bolt (10). The projections (13) are elastically deformable. Stopper projections (24) are formed around the opening of a bolt insertion hole (22) prepared in a bolt engagement member (20). If the bolt (10) attempts to rotate in the loosening direction, the head ends of the blade-like projections (13) engage the stopper projections (24) to prevent rotation of the bolt (10). The bolt (10) can connect and fix the two members (20, 30) together by simple work similar to work for installing a normal bolt and, in addition, does not become loose even after a long period.
