A method and a device for routing data traffic are provided, the method comprising following steps of (i) conducting a layer-3 lookup; (ii) mapping of the layer-3 lookup result to an addressing scheme, wherein said addressing scheme comprises a VLAN scheme; and (iii) routing data traffic according to the addressing scheme.
