Provided are an apparatus and method of receiving local broadcasting data in multi-channel broadcasting. The method includes: receiving broadcasting data including data classified by unique numbers of each local area; reading the unique numbers allotted to each local are and stored in a smart card; and extracting data corresponding to the unique numbers read from the smart card from the broadcasting data.
