EYE DETECTION METHOD USING EYE VERIFICATION AND CORRECTION

An eye detecting method using an eye position correction and eye verification are provided to detect both sides of eyes through a verification and correction process about the detected while being strong in the illumination change eye. An eye candidate region is extracted on the left and right sides of an inputted face image. The eye candidate is extracted through the eye detection feature point in each eye candidate region. The eye candidate is normally detected and determined through an MCT base correlation map between the opposite side eye candidate region and both eyes candidate regions detected from each eye candidate region. The location of the wrongly detected eye is compensated by using the pattern correlation information(106).
