The invention relates to chemistry, namely to organic compounds from the class of thiosemicarbazones that can be used for treatment of prostate cancer. Summary of the invention consists in using 4-phenylthiosemicarbazones of salicylic and 2-hydroxy-1-naphthoic aldehydes as inhibitors of 17Beta-HSD (hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase) enzyme, stimulator for prostate cancer cell multiplication.
