A relay including a data selecting apparatus for relaying data signal in sensor network and a relaying method are provided to confirm initial information of data signal received from a relay in sensor network and amplify data signal by determining whether to be data signal to be amplified. A first signal processing unit(110) filters and amplifies the received data signal. The initial information of the received data signal is transmitted through a first route. A routing control unit(120) is transmitted through a second path in order to amplify data signal of the initial information. A second signal processing unit(140) amplifies data signal delivered through the second path of the routing control block.
