The invention relates to a method for producing a journal cage for a cylinder roller bearing having at least one cage ring (8) which is coaxial with respect to the bearing axis and on which are arranged a plurality of bearing journals (2), which are distributed uniformly in the peripheral direction and which are parallel to the bearing axis, for the rotatable mounting of in each case one cylinder roller (4), wherein the cage ring (8) is provided with axial bores for receiving and fastening in each case one end (6) of an associated bearing journal (2). In order to produce a uniform, permanent and aesthetically appealing connection between the end (6) and the cage ring (8), the ends (6) of the bearing journal (2) are fixedly connected to the cage ring (8) for example by means of a resistance riveting process. According to another embodiment, the ends (44, 46) of a bearing journal (40) are connected to the cage rings (48, 50) by means of a resistance welding connection. |
