An image forming apparatus and an image forming method are provided to delete a waiting file or change a printing option of the waiting file, thereby improving user's convenience. An image forming apparatus(200) comprises an interface unit(220), a user input unit(212), a display unit(214), a printing unit(260), and a control unit(295). The interface unit is connected to at least one movable storage medium. The user input unit receives a printing request of files selected among files stored in at least one of the movable storage medium or an inner storage unit. The printing unit prints the selected files. The control unit controls the display unit to display information of a file waiting for print among the selected files while printing the selected files.
