The spinning device has a deactivated, particularly detachable thread guide (5) provided for guiding deposition of a thread (3) at the thread receiving area. The deactivated thread guide is assigned to the inner side of the funnel (4) or bell or cylinder or truncated cone. A programmable control unit (13) is provided for adjusting the speeds of the two drives (M-t,M-s) depending on two specified operating modes. The operating modes comprise funnel weavers with thread guide and the loop yarns with deactivated thread guide.
