Isomerization of aromatic fraction comprising aromatic compound having eight carbon atoms per molecule, comprises contacting fraction with catalyst (containing EUO-structural-type zeolite) prepared by synthesizing EUO-structural-type zeolite having global atomic ratio of silicon/aluminum (5-45), dealuminating obtained zeolite in treatment by aqueous solution of mineral or organic acid and aluminum atoms, which are extracts of obtained zeolite, setting dealuminated zeolite with matrix, and depositing group VIII metal of periodic table of elements.
