PROCESS FOR THE MANUFACTURE OF HYDROFLUOROOLEFINS VIA METATHESIS

<p>The present invention is direct toward a process for the synthesis of hydrofluoroolefins (HFO). The process is based on an olefin metathesis reaction of a hydrofluoroolefin in the presence of metathesis catalyst whereby the carbon-carbon double bonds in the olefins (alkenes) are rearranged to form three carbon hydrofluoroolefins of the formula CFa H 3-a C Fb H 1-b = C Fd H 2-d where a, b and d are as defined in the application.</p>
