A pulsar ring (1) of a magnetic rotary encoder capable of being well concentrically held by a press-fit jig (4) when the pulsar ring is installed on a rotary body (3), comprising a metallic annular holder (10) and a pulsar body (20) of a magnetic rubber material formed integrally with the holder (10). The holder (10) comprises a disk part (11) to which the pulsar body (20) is joined, a mounting cylindrical part (12) having a diameter smaller than the outer diameter of the disk part (11) and fixed to the rotary body (3), a folded part (15) folded back from the outer peripheral side to the inner peripheral side of the disk part (11), and an intermediate part (13) extending from the folded part (15) to the mounting cylindrical part (12) so as to be separated from the disk part (11). The outer peripheral surface of the folded part (15) or the outer peripheral surface of a guide part (22) mounted on the folded part is formed to be fitted to the peripheral wall part (42) of the press-fit jig (4). |
