The body comprises a base and a superstructure, and, in the front part, first and second front pillars, one left and one right, connecting the base to the superstructure. Each of the pillars comprises a body side to which at least one pillar reinforcement (2) is fastened. The structure additionally comprises a dashboard crossmember (5). According to the invention, the structure comprises means (10, 11) for rigidly connecting the reinforcement (2) of at least one of the front pillars and the crossmember (5), being capable of transmitting forces towards this crossmember that are applied to the pillar when the vehicle is exposed to a front impact.
