<p>A lever type connector (1) in which a lever can be operated by less force and that can be reliably maintained fitted to a mating connector. The lever type connector (1) has an insulation housing (11), the lever (12) for causing the connector (1) to be pulled into a mating connector (2) by rotating from an installation start position (P1) to a pull-in completion position (P2) at which the pull-in completes, and a lock section (13) having a tilt section (131) supported so as to be tiltable with respect to a support section (132) protruding from the insulation housing (11), an engagement section (133) provided on an end of the tilt section and with which the mating connector is engaged, and a pressing action receiving section (134) provided on the end of the tilt section on the side opposite the above mentioned end and, when pressed by the lever (12), tilting the tilt section (131) to an avoidance state in which interference between the engagement section and the mating connector is avoided. The pressing action receiving section (134) is provided at a position at which it is pressed by the lever (12) when it is in a region (W) between the installation start position and the pull-in completion position and it is ridden over by the lever and released from the lever when it is at the pull-in completion position.</p> |
