An MP3 player is provided to help the user keep the ideal mind and body condition by automatically selecting and playing the music based on the measured or inputted user's condition. An MP3 player(1) has a biorhythm mode, a body mode, and a situation mode. The MP3 player automatically selects the genre of music to be played based on the biorhythm of the user computed from user data which is directly inputted through a USB cable to a computer in the biorhythm mode, based on the heartbeat of the user measured by a heartbeat sensor(2) in the body mode, and based on the situation of the user like exercise and reading in the situation mode.
