The bladder catheter set (10) is contained within a sterile package (30) containing a catheter (20) with a shaft (22), a catheter tip (21), and a funnel-shaped end (23) where the urine is caught. A collar (40) is in the packaging, partially around the catheter shaft and which can slide along it. The collar is preferably a plastics bag which is 10-15 cm long. The catheter has a hydrophilic surface, activated by a fluid from a reservoir (50) in the packaging using water, a 0.9 wt% solution of common salt or a sliding gel. In the package, the catheter is between a deep-drawn film layer and a paper layer. |
