METHOD FOR THE PRODUCTION OF A SULFONATED POLY(1,3,4-OXADIAZOLE) POLYMER

A production method of a sulfonated poly(1,3,4-oxadiazole) polymer is provided to ensure high proton-conductivity in the condition of high temperature and/or low moisture, and to manufacture the polymer electrolyte with low costs and stability while easily manipulating. A production method of a sulfonated poly(1,3,4-oxadiazole) polymer by the single process condensation polymerization with a hydrazine sulfate salt, non-sulfonated dicarboxylic acid and their non-sulfonated derivatives in an polyphosphoric acid, comprises a step for manufacturing the solution by mixing a hydrazine sulfate salt with at least one dicarboxylic acid or their derivatives in a polyphosphoric acid; a step for heating the solution under an inert gas atmosphere; and a step for precipitating the polymer in the basic solution.
