Specifically disclosed is a pest control agent containing an N-phenyl-methanamine derivative represented by the formula (I) below or a salt thereof as an active ingredient. (In the formula, R1 represents an optionally substituted alkyl or the like; R2, R3, R4 and R6 independently represent a hydrogen atom, a halogen or an optionally substituted alkyl; R5 represents a haloalkyl or a halogen; R7 and R8 independently represent a hydrogen atom, a cyano, an alkyl or the like; R9 represents an alkyl,a cycloalkyl or the like; m represents a number of 0-1; and n represents a number of 0-4.)
