An organic inorganic composite material comprising a metal oxide and, carried thereon, a functional organic material, wherein the functional organic material and the metal oxide are coupled with each other through a silanol bond. There are preferred modes wherein the silanol bond results from reaction between a silane coupling agent and a metal oxide, and wherein the silane coupling agent has a reactive terminal. There is provided a display electrode for electrochromic display device, or electrode for photoelectric transducer device, making use of the organic inorganic composite material, and provided an electrochromic display device, or photoelectric transducer device, making use of the electrode. ® KIPO & WIPO 2009 |
