The invention relates to a decorative part (1) for a motor vehicle, especially for the inside of a motor vehicle. Said decorative part (1) comprises a visible side (11) and a rear side (12), in addition to a carrier (3). According to the invention, the decorative part (1) comprises a decorative material (31) on the visible side (11) thereof and the carrier (3) comprises an opening (2), the decorative material (31) being turned up in the region of the opening (2) on the rear side (12) of the decorative part (1), forming a doubled-back edge (8).
