In an analogue-to-digital converter, in order to reopupensate for errors in the quantizing levels, a plurality of samples of the input are digitized after biasing with respective auxiliary analogue signals, each of which is used an equal number of times or with equal probability during the conversion, the negations of the digital equivalents of the auxiliary signals being added to the results of the digitizations to give a corrected average digital output. Digitization may be by the method using a feedback signal which successively approximates to the input. |
