A remote meter reading system capable of imposing charge about power, waterworks, and gas without visit of inspector is provided to perform an energy-saving in home by recognizing a charge used by a user on a real time. A remote meter reading system comprises a meter node(100) and a controller(200). The meter node checks a used amount of energy and material, senses the used amount, and transmits a signal corresponding to the used amount. The controller is connected to the meter node, and comprises a communications module(110), a network module(130), and a wireless AP(Access Point) module(150). The communications module receives information related to a used amount checked in the meter node. The network module indicates information on a computer of a user based on the information received in the communications module, transmits the information received in the communications module by connecting to a server imposing charge due to the used amount of the energy and material, and receives information about an imposed charge. The wireless AP module shares information of the network module and the communications module, and controls to display information about the information received in the communications module or the imposed charge in a PDA(Personal Digital Assistant) by connecting to a communications server of a wireless communication corp. |
