The method involves spreading a pressurized lubricant on an end fitting by spraying the lubricant on the end-fitting, and mounting a hose of an engine cooling circuit on corresponding fixation end-fitting. The spreading of the lubricant is formed simultaneously on periphery of the end-fitting, where the lubricant is supplied by a supply unit of a spraying nozzle (12) and spread on the end fitting without contact. An independent claim is also included for a device for applying a lubricant by spreading, comprising a lubricant reservoir.
