The lighting unit has a rigid structure (1) fixed on a support e.g. ceiling (2) in a removable manner. Another structure has multilayer plate (3) whose two layers (7, 8) are electrically conductive and are isolated from one another, where the latter structure is fixed or integrated to the structure (1). A light source (22) is fixed in a place of the plate, having two coaxial electrically conducting pins (23, 24) fitted in the plate for electrical connection with the corresponding layers. The layers have a supply circuit that is housed in the structure (1).
