HIGHLY EXTRUDABLE AND THERMALLY STABLE ENVIRONMENTLY FRIENDLY FLAME RETARDANT RESIN COMPOSITION AND RELATED ELECTRIC WIRES

An environmentally friendly flame retardant resin composition, and an electric wire coated with the composition are provided to improve the extrusion processability and heat resistance of an electric wire. A resin composition comprises 100 parts by weight of a resin mixture which comprises 50 ~ 80 wt% of a polypropylene-based resin, 5 ~ 20 wt% of a high molecular weight styrene-based block copolymer resin containing 30 wt% or less of styrene and having a 5% solution viscosity of toluene solvent of 300 mPas or more at 30 deg.C, and 10-30 wt% of a polyolefin-based copolymer resin; and 50-200 parts by weight of a metal hydrate. The resin mixture contains 10-40 wt% of a grafted modified resin of an acid anhydride.
