An electric steam type humidifier is provided to keep pleasant and healthy atmosphere by preventing the growing of germs in stored water and reducing the need of cleaning. A first body part(100) has a first receiving part(110) for receiving water inside, a supporting shaft(122) mounted in the center and formed with a through-hole(123), an electric coil(127) generating heat by an AC applied via a wire(125) of the through-hole, a heating plate(129) formed in the horizontal plate shape surrounding the heating coil to be applied with the heat generated from the heating coil, and a water absorbing cloth(130) mounted on the heating plate partially to contact the water. A second body part(200) mounted on the first body part detachably has a second receiving part(210) and a water supply tube formed in a horizontal cylindrical shape to be connected to a lower part of the second receiving part for supplying the water from the second receiving part to the cloth.
