TOUCH SENSIBLE DISPLAY DEVICE, AND DRIVING METHOD THEREOF

A display device having a touch sensing function and a driving method thereof are provided to determine a touch location accurately even when light is mixed with a shadow. A display device having a touch sensing function and a driving method thereof comprise the following steps. A touch signal is converted into a preliminary signal by determining whether the touch signal which is sequentially input is included in a touchable area. The preliminary signal is divided by a pixel row to determine whether a sensing interval exists in the preliminary signal(S201). A row length is calculated by receiving a pixel row unit operating result. It is determined whether the row length of the sensing interval belongs to the first effective range in which the sensing interval is determined as a contact area(S204). When the row length of the sensing interval belongs to the first effective range, a touch location is determined.
