Provided is a pneumatic tire, which can retain its total performance, mass-productivity and so on sufficiently without lowering a draining performance, as might otherwise be caused by narrowing the circumferential groove, which can realize the high degree of freedom for designing the tread pattern and the land rigidity, as expected, and which can reduce the columnar resonance noises, as generated by the circumferential groove, effectively. The circumferential groove (3) is formed to extend linearly in the circumferential direction in a tread (1), and a resonator (5) opens into the circumferential groove (3) and terminates in a land (4). This resonator (5) is constituted to include an air chamber (6) opening into the surface of the land (4), and a narrowed neck (7) for providing the communication between the air chamber (6) and the circumferential groove (3). The narrowed neck (7) has the maximum plane width (w0) within a range of 3 to 50 % of the maximum plane width (w1) of the air chamber (6). ® KIPO & WIPO 2009
