An optical path deflecting plate capable of improving luminance, planar light source device, and image display device for transmitting are provided to maintain an image of a uniform brightness by receiving a light of uniform and high luminance. An optical path deflecting plate(40) capable of improving luminance is separately arranged about a plurality of light sources(30), and includes a main surface(40a) and an exit surface(40b). The main surface receives a light from a plurality of light sources. The exit surface irradiates a light received from a plurality of light sources. In the main surface, a plurality of prisms is installed at a domain corresponding between two light sources adjacent to the main surface.
