A method for transmitting/receiving broadcast or multicast service capable of rapidly receiving control information of MBMS, and terminal thereof are provided to remove a problem which is to wait for a long time to receive control information of MBMS(Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Service). A method for transmitting/receiving broadcast or multicast service capable of rapidly receiving control information of MBMS comprises the following steps: a step for receiving a data through a channel for a broadcast or multicast service; a step for transmitting a negative answer to a base station(200) is case of failing a reception of the data through the channel; and a step for receiving the data. The channel is a MCCH(Multicast Control Channel) or a MTCH(Multicast Traffic Channel), and is received through a DL SCH(Download Shared Channel) or PDCCH(Physical Downlink Control Channel).
