A controller of an electric power steering device of a vehicle capable of solving problems in a conventional one wherein a larger force is required to change the direction of the steered wheels so as to deviate the vehicle in either of right and left directions by overcoming the driving of the vehicle since the vehicle tends to more strongly advance straightforward as its drive force is more increased even if a uniform drive torque is applied to the pair of steered wheels in addition to such a problem that steering is disturbed due to a difference in drive force between the steered wheels when the pair of steered wheels are driven. The steering assist force is increased according to an increase in the drive torque of the steered wheels, and the steering assist force is harmonized with the magnitude of a steering resistance varying according to the magnitude of the drive torque of the steered wheels to improve steering feeling. ® KIPO & WIPO 2009
